Summary

The PhD has been ongoing for sometime and during that time different materials were stored in different places. This document aims to simplify where every important item is stored, and also document if the materials is in transit to another location/system. This page is divided into sections, each relating to different materials.

Reading Materials

Most papers were either printed out or stored digitally, or both. Google Drive was the system used for this. Below is a link to the folder, it will only work if access is provided.

The folder structure was adjusted in a adhoc fashion over the years. The key folders with regard to papers and reading materials are

The folder structure of Academic Papers is further broken down by topic. I imagine that this will adjust over time.

Experiments and Data Collections

As part of the PhD, four data collections were carried out, they were

2008 - Continuous Reading Study in Irish

  • EM data from Children collected in Newbridge Co.Kildare
  • Typography comparison between Serif and Sans-Serif
  • Data was combined with a LDT experiment in 2009
  • Experiment builder was used for the design of the experiment

2009 - Lexical Decision Task with

  • Data collected in Maynooth Co.Kildare
  • Lexical decision task with adult readers
  • Typography comparison
  • Combined with continuous reading experiment from 2008
  • Experiment was written in Matlab

2010 - Pupillometric and Font Effects in a LDT

  • Data collected in NUIM from 17 subjects
  • Extension of the LDT paradigm to include pupil measurement and peripheral span in both right and left direction
  • Typography comparison
  • Experiment written in Matlab

2010 - Task Effect Study

  • Data collected in NUIG Galway
  • Paradign followed the task effect study from Reilly and Radoch
  • Experiment written in Matlab

2010 - Pupillary OVP

  • Data collected in NUIG Galway
  • Experiement design was the same as the one users in the prevsious data collection
  • Data analysis was dificult due to the experimental design and the dataviewer software from SR research

Publications

There have been only poster publications from the different data collections. These were at the following conferences

Codebases and Datasets

The codebases and datasets related to the experiments are primarily stored in two systems

  • AWS S3 - Serves as a backup location
  • Gitlab - Gitlab projects contain different efforts over the years now, previously we used Bitbucket

Gitlab Projects

The following Gitlab projects contain related data

There are other repositories related to the development of the eye movement data analysis platform. But they are organised based on the previous architecture.
